"This Sunday (25 October) from 1- 4pm the Humanist Society is holding 2 public lectures about 2 major conflicts of Western Civilisation. The first is entitled 'Galileo, Politics and Religion' and the second is entitled 'Four Horsemen of the New Enlightenment: Sagan, Dawkins, Harris & Dennett'. The lectures are free and the venue is the mezzanine floor of the Central Public Library. It would be great to see some skeptics there and perhaps a session at the pub afterwards would be a good idea. If you want to find me at the lectures - I will be chairing them."

    •  Fantastic speakers on two great scientists and skeptics. Overall, a very positive experience. Would have liked a little bit more mentioned about evolution and Charles Darwin when we are commemorating him along with Galileo this year. It was enjoyable and thought provoking.
